Dukla is a Prague-based band playing guitar pop that carries the legacy of new wave, post punk, 90’s guitar bands and contemporary club music. They have released a number of singles, several EPs and the album Honza, for which they received positive feedback and a nomination for the Apollo Music Awards for Record of the Year 2020. The release of the album, which also has a physical form in the form of vinyl, was associated with an extensive spring Czech-Slovak tour. On the new album, Stejný lepší (2024) there is a noticeable shift towards more clubby music, but without abandoning what is typical for them – expressive melodies and nostalgic lyrics that reflect city life with an admitted naivety.
